H. E. Kwon Ki Chang, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Moldova, realized the first visit

On November 14, in the context of the Moldo-Korean Days, occasioned by the anniversary of the 27 years since the establishment of the Moldovan-Korean relations and the celebration of the 11 years of activity of the Center of Korean Culture and Language "Se Jong", the ULIM leadership had a meeting with the Korean delegation led by H. E. Kwon Ki Chang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Kiev.

The ULIM administrative body represented by the Rector Ilian Galben, the Vice-rectors Valentina Ciumacenco, Alexandru Cauia and Elena Prus, as well as Han Hon Jin, Head of the "Se Jong" Center, made chronological reports related to the institutional path, the performances obtained during the 27 years of prodigious activity of the university, educational offer and fruitful mutual relations between ULIM and the top universities in Korea, with the support of the Republic of Korea Embassy.  Rector Ilian Galben expressed gratitude for the continuous support offered in the achievement of the quality educational endeavor and appreciated the strategic partnership developed with constant dynamism with the "Se Jong" Center, being stated the intention to multiply the obtained results, by capitalizing on the existing resources. On the other part, H.S. Kwon Ki Chang expressed openness for creating optimal conditions for multidimensional development of the Moldovan-Korean dialogue, pursuing a strategic direction in the field of research and innovation.

During the visit, the young students had the opportunity to participate in a public lecture held by H. E. Kwon Ki Chang, with the theme: "Economic development of the Republic of Korea: suggestions for developing countries".

In his speech, the Ambassador structured useful information on the exponential growth of the South Korean economy, the indispensable value of democracy, the policies of sustainable development of industry and infrastructure, as well as the factors that influenced the achievement of excellence in the fields of science, technology and engineering.
