Li Xin, professor of “Confucius” Institute
“If I would have a chance, I would return in the Republic of Moldova to work”

Mrs. Li Xin, a professor at “Confucius” Institute worked for two years at ULIM, becoming a good friend of the students. Thanks to her results in teaching the Chinese language at the highest levels, a great number of young people from the Republic of Moldova had the courage and the ambition to study at the prestigious international institution. At the end of her activity at ULIM, Mrs. Li Xin admitted the attachment toward our students, passionate of Chinese language, culture and civilization, of whom she does not want to break of.

The exceptional workshop, organized by the US Embassy and Alumni Resource Center, solely for Exchange programs graduates of U.S. Government

US Embassy and Alumni Resource Center organized recently, the workshop Transformational leadership for the implementation of the legislation by addressing systemic thinking, an exceptional workshop, offered only to exchange programs graduates of the U.S. Government and headed by dr. Carol Ann Sharicz, specialising in the areas of leadership, thinking systems and organizational development. The training was attended from the part of ULIM teaching staff, by Mrs. Adelina Stefarta, graduate of the exchange program of the U.S. Government, responsible for the scientific activity of the Faculty of Psychology, Education Sciences and Social Work.

The best students of ULIM became scholars of Erasmus+, participants in academic mobility in prestigious European universities

The second semester of the university year starts at ULIM with the participation of several students, winners of the scholarships Erasmus+ in academic mobility abroad.

Increasing the financing of “Confucius” Institute from ULIM attracts more young people to study the culture and the language of the Great Wall of China

At ULIM, Chinese language is studied at the Faculty of Letters, the combination English-Chinese by the students from the 1st year till the 3rd year. “Confucius” Institute from ULIM has seven permanent teaching centers. Last year, the number of desirous increased till 600 persons, what is in comparison with 2015, represents an increase of 10,7%, i.e. with 64 persons.

A ULIM student has received a U.S. Department of State scholarship and advanced about 200 of the better trained young people from RM

Through the U.S. Embassy, has applied for a scholarship at the well-known international Program of scholarship for undergraduate studies (Global Undergraduate Exchange Program-Global UGRAD) in the US, and won a battle with the best students of the Republic of Moldova, of about 200! Artur Caldarari, 4th year student at the Faculty of Informatics, Engineering, Design, within ULIM, along with two other youths in the country, obtained a scholarship for first academic semester of this year of study at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, U.S.

New cooperation bridges ULIM – University Valenciennes et du Hainaut-Cambresis of France

Dr. Ludmila Coada, associate professor of the Department of International Relations, Political Sciences and History returned recently from a teaching mobility from the University Valenciennes etdu Hainaut-Cambresis of France within the EU Program of Education, Training, Youth and Sport Erasmus+. Ludmila Coada taught to the students of Faculty of Letters, Languages, Art and Humanities a series of lessons related to the post-soviet space as: USSR fall, aspects of internal and external policy of the post-soviet states, issue of regimes change, elections, etc.

Protocol of intent with Jiujiang University

A delegation of Jiujiang University from People's Republic of China represented by the Rector, Mr. Zheng Xiang, Mr. Liu Ping, head of the Directorate for foreign students and Mrs. Wu Tao, responsible for the international relations of that institution, has conducted today, an official visit, at ULIM. The Chinese delegation had a meeting with Mrs. Ana Gutu, Senior Vice-Rector ULIM, Mrs. Cristina –Emanuela Dascalu, Vice-Rector for international relations and Mrs. Valentina Ciumaceonco, Director of the Center on International Cooperation. After having reached an agreement, the Senior Vice-Rector ULIM has signed a protocol of intention with Jiujiang University.

A delegation of ULIM, headed by Rector Andrei Galben, at the World Conference of CONFUCIUS Institute

Rector Andrei Galben, together with Mr. Wang Yifeng and Radu Plamadeala, the directors of CONFUCIUS Institute of ULIM, participated in the World Conference of CONFUCIUS Institute, held recently in Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. Representatives of more than 500 institutes worldwide attended the grand event, totalling over 2700 people. The academician Andrei Galben reported about the achievements of CONFUCIUS Institute within ULIM, unique in the Republic of Moldova, in the framework of the sixth Edition of the Founders' Council.

At ULIM, a professor from the USA presented a practical tool in fighting against corruption

Mr. William A. Andrews, PhD, Professor of management at Stetson University in the USA, recently had a visit to ULIM, in the context of academic invitations to Chisinau. He conducted training to students, within the recent International Scientific Conference Contemporary concerns of social-human sciences in the context of mentality transformation.
