ULIM initiated a broad cooperation with a University for over one hundred years from China
Protocol of intent with Jiujiang University

A delegation of Jiujiang University from People's Republic of China represented by the Rector, Mr. Zheng Xiang, Mr. Liu Ping, head of the Directorate for foreign students and Mrs. Wu Tao, responsible for the international relations of that institution, has conducted today, an official visit, at ULIM. The Chinese delegation had a meeting with Mrs. Ana Gutu, Senior Vice-Rector ULIM, Mrs. Cristina –Emanuela Dascalu, Vice-Rector for international relations and Mrs. Valentina Ciumaceonco, Director of the Center on International Cooperation. After having reached an agreement, the Senior Vice-Rector ULIM has signed a protocol of intention with Jiujiang University.

” ULIM students will receive scholarships from the Chinese party, in the context of our partners' interest of the Land of the Emperor’s Great Wall to promote the language, culture and civilization.  Furthermore, they are in love with the Republic of Moldova and its people. The like our students, who are very well trained and open-minded”. ULIM currently has a wide range of Chinese partner university institutions, "mentions Mrs. Ana Gutu, Senior Vice-Rector ULIM.

In turn, the Rector Zheng Xiang showed the interest for a close cooperation with ULIM, beginning with exchanges of students.  He recalled about the rich tradition of Jiujiang University, founded more than a hundred years, in 1901, which currently offers 21 faculties for students from 30 provinces of China.

”We have numerous examples of academic mobility of teachers, especially, of our students who leave to study in universities in China, for a semester, two or even a two-year master's degree.  We hope that after the conclusion of the Protocol of intent with Jiujiang University, to follow an agreement of cooperation between our institutions,” says Senior Vice-Rector ULIM.
