On 29th of September within the Free International University of Moldova was inaugurated the Institute “Confucius”. The event was organized in collaboration and with the support of the North-Vest Pedagogical University from China, being a pilot project of this kind in the Republic of Moldova.At the official inauguartion ceremony have participated the ULIM’s Rector acad. Andrei Galben,  Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China,  His Excellency Shi Longzhuang, Vice Rector of the North-Vest Pedagogical University from China, Dr. Liu Zhongkui, deputy cheif of the Chinese delegation Mr. Quan Xiaohui, Minister of Education from Republic of Moldova, Mr. Leonid Bujor, deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Dr. Mihai Sleahtitchi and Vice Rector for International Cooperation ULIM Mr. Gerhard Ohrband.

The program dedicated to the inauguration of Confucius Institute  included a lot of other events such as:  a respresentative exhibition of Chinese books and an artistic program at the M. Eminescu Theatre from Chisinau  with the participation of the reprezentatives from the Republic of Moldova and those 44 guests of honor from China.
