In the context of ULIM Days, on October 17, the inauguration of the Aula State of Qatar took place, with the support and assistance of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Moldova.
The event was organized with solemnity, beginning with the cutting of the ribbon by ULIM Rector Ilian Galben and H.E. Hamad Bin Rashid Al-Athba, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova. Hamad Bin Khalid Alsheaibi, second Secretary of the Embassy, as well as representatives of state structures, non-governmental organizations, teaching staff and ULIM students were present at the inauguration. Rector Ilian Galben thanked the representatives of the Embassy for their support and contribution, revealing that the Qatar Hall will be a symbol of establishing collaborative relations between institutions and peoples, a space for promoting activities related to the Qatari language, science and culture. H.E. Hamad Bin Rashid Al-Athba expressed the intention to boost and expand collaborative relations in the educational field, as well as carrying out exchanges of experience and knowledge. In order to record the moment of inauguration, the parties also signed a collaboration agreement between ULIM and the Embassy of the State of Qatar, the mutual interest in creating a favorable environment for the consolidation of sustainable cooperation projects being pronounced.
