From May 3 to 7, 2026, ULIM—the Free International University of Moldova—hosted a group of students and faculty members from Zefat Academic College as part of the academic and intercultural exchange program “Cultural Bridge: Moldova–Israel Academic Exchange Program.”

The program brought together 10 students and 2 faculty members from Israel for an academic and cultural experience focused on intercultural dialogue, international cooperation, and the discovery of shared values between Moldova and Israel.
This visit reflects the continuously developing partnership between our institutions, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2024, and highlights our shared commitment to international cooperation, intercultural dialogue, and academic mobility.

Associate Professor Dr. Valentina Ciumacenco, Vice Rector for International Relations, together with Dr. Svetlana Rusnac, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education, and Prof. Neli Balode, Coordinator for International Relations within the faculty, warmly welcomed the delegation, conveying messages focused on dialogue, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

In her speech, the Vice Rector emphasized ULIM’s commitment to developing sustainable international partnerships and creating meaningful intercultural experiences for students.

During the visit, participants had the opportunity to:

  • take part in academic activities and intercultural communication training sessions;
  • interact with ULIM students and faculty;
  • attend official meetings with ULIM representatives;
  • visit important institutions in the Republic of Moldova, including the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova;
  • discover the cultural heritage and national traditions through excursions to Cricova and Orheiul Vechi;
  • participate in discussions on women’s rights and social reforms, together with representatives of local NGOs.

We thank all partners involved in organizing this international program and the delegation from Zefat Academic College for their active participation and contribution to the success of the visit to the Republic of Moldova.
