Mobilitatea academică înseamnă mai mult decât studii într-o altă țară — înseamnă experiențe noi, provocări, oameni diferiți și momente care contribuie la dezvoltarea personală și profesională a fiecărui student. Pentru mulți tineri, Programul Erasmus+ devine o oportunitate de a ieși din zona de confort, de a descoperi culturi noi și de a privi lumea dintr-o perspectivă diferită.
Fiecare experiență internațională este unică și lasă în urmă amintiri, lecții și conexiuni care depășesc spațiul unei săli de curs. Adaptarea la un nou mediu academic, interacțiunea cu studenți din diferite colțuri ale lumii și descoperirea unui nou stil de viață transformă această experiență într-o etapă importantă a parcursului universitar.
Astăzi, vă invităm să descoperiți experiența trăită de Kiritsa Olena, studentă în anul II la Facultatea de Relații Internaționale, Limbi Străine și Jurnalism, specialitatea Relații Internaționale, care a ales să își transforme semestrul petrecut la Universitatea din Cadiz, Spania, într-o aventură academică și personală memorabilă.
My name is Olena Kiritsa. I am a foreign languages student at ULIM, and I was an Erasmus student at the University of Cádiz in Spain from September to February 2025–2026.
I would like to mention that my trip was not what I had expected in terms of studies and personal changes, but it was definitely worth it. I gained a lot of professional skills thanks to the knowledge I received, as well as personal growth and a change in my mindset.
The study load was quite intense, but the town, the weather, and the ocean, which were within walking distance from both my home and the university, helped a lot. I enjoyed many beautiful sunsets in Cádiz. The town itself is charming and touristic, so you never feel bored.
My adaptation was easy — I felt at home from the third day of my stay. I never missed home, probably because I was busy with my studies and because Cádiz is very friendly. I also met some very good friends there.
I didn’t have the chance to travel much during the semester, but I managed to go on a couple of short trips, and I also had a nice holiday in Barcelona before my studies began. Day-to-day life in Cádiz is very comfortable.
My experience was life-changing, and I hope yours will be the same. I also prepared a short presentation about some of the challenges I faced. I hope it will be useful for students who want to take part in the Erasmus programme, step out of their comfort zone, expand their horizons, and make their experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
